This policy explains what happens to the information you send to Rootline Digital through this website. It is written in plain language and kept deliberately short, because this site does very little with your data.

What is collected

The only information collected through this website is what you type into the contact form and choose to send:

Your name
Your email address
Your phone number, if you provide one
Your business or company name, if you provide one
The service you are interested in and an optional budget range
The message you write

Nothing else is collected. There are no accounts, no logins and no newsletter sign-up on this site.

How the contact form works

This is a static website with no database of its own. The contact form is handled by Formspree, a third-party form service, which receives your submission and forwards it to my email address. Formspree processes the submission on its own servers and under its own privacy policy, which you can read at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

How enquiries are used

Your enquiry is used to reply to you and to quote on or discuss the work you asked about. It is not sold, rented or shared with anyone else, and it is not used to send you marketing you did not ask for.

How long it is kept

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as they are useful for the project or the relationship, and then deleted. If you want your enquiry removed sooner, email jacobus@rootlinedigital.co.za and it will be deleted.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set cookies and does not run analytics or tracking scripts. It does load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads. If analytics or any other tracking is added to the site later, this section must be updated to say so.

Your rights

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, you may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email jacobus@rootlinedigital.co.za and the request will be handled.

Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles information changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
